STEVE BULMER
Managing Director
Steve is one of the founding directors of Totus Solutions Limited and is an accomplished executive operations director with over 20 years’ experience implementing business solutions, process improvements, and financial planning in the education, charitable and commercial sectors. He is a keen business analyst, with specialist experience of managing mergers and Acquisitions within the charity and education sectors. Being an experienced change manager, he fully understands business processes and can co-construct client-focused, cost-effective improvements to implement staff efficiencies and improved profitability.
Steve is also passionate about outstanding leadership strategies and works with leadership teams and boards to develop inspirational visions and values as well as developing leaders’ leadership skills to build and re-enforce positive workplace culture.
DAN PEGLEY
Business Development & Recruitment Director
Dan joined Totus Solutions in 2023 as the Business Development & Recruitment Director. Having gained a Master’s degree from The University of Manchester, Dan started his career in Financial Services before moving into business development and recruitment roles in various industries, so brings a vast amount of experience from various industries to the team.
Steve has been working with LAs, MATs and commercial companies in the education sector, since 2003 as a trusted external advisor. His career spans being Group Head of Finance Services for a commercial education group, CFO and Director of Operations of a growing MAT with several schools; and having brought in a centralised finance and operational structure, Steve fully understands the challenges within schools and has tested solutions to these.
As an experienced board director and national award winner for business development and target achievements, Steve can identify prime opportunities whilst mitigating possible risks. He is an organised, strategic leader who is highly skilled at managing cross-functional teams to complete tasks in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.  Steve has extensive experience in change management and restructures to bring in cost effective turnaround solutions.  Having held several interim senior posts at board, director, and CFO levels, he appreciates the need for first class communication and stakeholder engagement at every level.  Steve can empathise with stakeholders to quickly understand and get to the route of problems to ensure workable solutions whilst keeping all on board.
In his spare time Steve was a Trustee and ex-chair of the Board of a children’s bereavement charity and is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
Dan’s experience as an Operations and Sales Director, has given him the business acumen to support clients in operational excellence. During this time, he has developed the skills to recruit and build successful operations teams through outstanding leadership. Building multiple successful teams, Dan fully understands the importance of a good recruitment process; identifying the right person for a team dynamic and ensuring the relationship flourishes from the outset. With customer relations at the heart of everything he does, Dan leads on our customer experience initiatives. Dan is passionate about giving every child the opportunity to flourish and supports schools and Trusts to make the best use of the limited resources available.

In his spare time, Dan is an avid golfer and keen rugby fan. He enjoys travel and walking with his wife and Dalmatian Luna.
